Renting an RV onsite from a campground is a great way to gain access to facilities and activities that you might not otherwise have planned for at the beginning — or that you might not otherwise have been able to afford. Finding a campground is relatively simple. Most RVers use a combination of regional visitor guides, RV association campground recommendations, national park brochures, and online searches to find the campground that best suits their needs.
If you are a member of an RV association, you may receive significant discounts for both overnight stays and onsite RV rentals at in-network campgrounds, so keep these discounts in mind when making a decision about where to stay. Currently, industry observers estimate that about one-third to one-half of all campgrounds — both public and private — provide onsite RV rentals to visitors.

This includes lots of electrical appliances and devices. Watts, or overall power, is a product of current, or amps, and voltage. If you want to know how many different electrical devices you can have on at one time in your RV or in your home, for that matter , this formula will tell you. As long as you stay under the amount of available wattage, your circuits will run smoothly.
The volt system is powered by an RV electrical hookup plug or a generator, and it powers daily use items like kitchen appliances, your TV, and other electrical appliances. This can be achieved with a single 12 volt battery or several 12 volt batteries wired together in a parallel circuit. However, using two 6 volt batteries wired together in a series circuit to essentially create a 12 volt battery is typically better than using a single 12 volt battery.
The trade-off for using two 6 volt batteries is that two batteries take up more space than one. However, that trade-off may be worth it if your camping needs require that extended battery life. Almost all RVs come with a power cord to plug into the electrical pedestal at a campground campgrounds with available hookups, anyway. They come in two amperages: A 30 amp cord has three prongs, and a 50 amp has four.
While many campgrounds do have RV electrical hook ups for both 50 amp and 30 amp cords, some campgrounds have only 30 amp hookups available. Also, you want to use the shortest adapter and extension cords possible to avoid a voltage drop.

We opted to go with the Jack antenna. You have 2 options with the Jack antenna, one is a complete replacement of your bat wing and mast Since we didn’t want to deal with raising and lowering the antenna or risk forgetting to lower the antenna and driving away, we chose the full replacement unit. For colors, you have a choice of white or black, we chose white.
Installation started with the removal of the old bat wing antenna. Luckily it was in a convenient location near the side of the RV so I was able to do everything from a ladder. I’d rather not walk on the roof any more than I have to. I started off by removing the four screws that hold the rotating handle to the ceiling. A small set screw allows the handle to come right off. Now it was time to head to the roof. I raised the antenna so it would be out of the way and began to scrape off the old Dicor lap sealant.
