The AMP is plenty for whatever you throw at it. Just assume you are planning to have the control center at the bar. But where are the RSUB going to be placed. Lets say you plan to interface the sub with the speakers located around the pool. So what you do is run four conductors from the speaker selector on the right and left zone of the pool directly to its own RSUB one for the Rt and another for the Lt. From there you would connect a pair of the AP directly from the sub. So we have two sub Sat zones around the pool. So now for the jacuzzi.
Frequently Asked Questions
Each one is designed to disconnect power when the current passing through the circuit exceeds its rating. This prevents overheated wires, electrical power surges and fires. Electrical outlets don’t draw power until you plug something in, so a amp circuit should theoretically be able to handle as many outlets as you want without overloading the breaker.

August 29, at 1: Undo Auger01 Your contractor is pretty much correct with his reccomendations. A kw unit is marginal for central AC. It doesnt leave much room for anything else. With that being said, I can run my four ton AC with my 12kw Winco generator without problem. I installed a “hard start kit” on the AC which basically reduces the starting demand of the compressor.

Replacing a Breaker in Your Panel By Terry Peterman, the Internet Electrician Circuit Breakers A breaker is designed to protect your wires from carrying too much current, and to trip off on an overload or a short circuit. That is why proper sizing of breakers is so important i. Never oversize a breaker to solve a tripping breaker problem! The first question to ask yourself is — Why am I replacing this breaker?
If you are adding a circuit, and now need to install the breaker, then this of course is necessary. The situation that I run into a lot is people wanting to replace a breaker because they think that it is faulty, or has failed, or trips off too often.

They also recommend 3 stage chargers. Charging voltages for flooded and AGM batteries are different, so the charger should be settable to the type of battery you have. Both types will have a longer life if they are not discharged as deeply, but, it seems like for a camper van that might only be used 30? The batteries live inside the van in a case that is vented to the outside. Another option that is just becoming practical is to use Lithium batteries as used in electric cars. They would reduce weight and size by quite a bit over the lead acid batteries, but are still expensive, and would likely take some careful homework to get right.
Have the panel inspected by a licensed electrician for code violations or hazardous conditions before turning the power back on.
The wire capacity dictates the maximum breaker size. It sounded crazy to me also. I always thought 10 should be connected to maximum 30 amps as when wiring electric water heaters, Air compressors etc. After talking to the pool pump installer and doing some research, I found that the rules are different for “electrically driven air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment that has a hermetic refrigerant motor-compressor”, Now household appliances as room air-conditioners, household refrigerators and freezers, drinking water coolers, or beverage dispensing machines are not included in this rule.
Article , Air Conditioning and Refrigerating Equipment. Circuit Protection The short-circuit and ground-fault protection device for motor-compressor conductors must be capable of carrying the starting current of the motor. Also, the protection device cannot exceed percent of the equipment load current rating. If that is not enough to handle the starting current of the motor-compressor, you can use the next larger protection device if it does not exceed percent of the motor-compressor current rating.
SOLVED: Can I hook up 2/0 wire to a amp breaker box
At first you say “interlock panel” and then you talk about a new “lockout panel”. An interlock allows you to backfeed your whole panel and choose to power up whichever circuits you want whether they are essential or not. They also sell these silly generator transfer panels that force you to choose about 6 circuits to be backfed from the genset.
These transfer panels are inferior in function and in general.
Place the inverter on a reasonably flat surface, either horizontally or vertically.
Circuit breakers Video of the Day Turn off the power to the main power leads, either by disconnecting them at the meter or calling the power company and having them switch off the service temporarily. Knock out holes on the top or bottom of the panel, depending on where the service wires enter and screw on knock-out clamps, tightening them with slip-lock pliers. Pass the main leads through the clamps and tighten them with a screwdriver.
Connect the black and red leads to the main lugs on the brass buss bars. Connect the white lead to the main lug on the silver bus. Tighten the screw on the silver bus to connect it to the ground bus. Knock out another hole in the panel and feed in the end of a length of gauge bare ground wire. Connect the end to the ground bus. Run the wire to a location where you can pound a ground rod eight feet into the earth.
Connect the ground wire to the bar with a ground clamp and tighten the clamp with a screwdriver.

Supplies Gather your supplies. For the sake of this build we are going to assume you have a 30 amp plug on your generator – like the one shown. If your have one different please adjust your supplies. Buy a UL rated device that fits your specific breaker box. These have been tested and validated to work.
Green – Ground to the power inlet box.

How To Install A volt outlet or Dryer Outlet
If it’s already been answered, a point in the correct location would really be appreciated. I have wired into my home a generator panel with a manual lockout. I have not yet purchased an inlet box, but a friend gave me an extra amp one he had new in the box.
Television and Audio Suggestions Although all our inverters are shielded and filtered to minimize signal interference, some interference with your television picture may be unavoidable, especially with weak signals.
Hooking up a amp vehicle to a amp power pedestal whenever possible will help protect the long-term dependability of appliances in your rig, Finch says. The breakers for the electrical systems in most campgrounds are designed with a tolerance of percent, plus or minus. If breakers tripped at exactly 30 amps, they would cost much more — perhaps 10 times as much — as breakers normally used. A amp outlet supplies 3, watts 30 amps multiplied by volts. Therefore, the breaker on that outlet could meet code and still trip anywhere between a total load of 2, watts 80 percent of 3, watts and 4, watts percent of 3, watts.
That sets up a situation where the breaker on a amp outlet may not trip until the load exceeds 4, watts. For amp service, however, the potential amount of power used — 12, watts, or 50 amps times volts — represents more than three times as much possible demand as amp service. Conversely, a amp rig hooked up to a amp outlet is only getting about one-third of the power that the rig may need to run a full complement of appliances. The same principle applies to the design of electrical circuits in commercial buildings and campgrounds.
And an overload causes the same result in every case — a tripped breaker and, possibly, a burned-out plugin. Ultimately, Finch asks owners of amp rigs to consider the economics.

I RV was kind enough to include one in the start-up kit they furnished. They cost a minimal amount, are a necessity and in our case was furnished by the dealer. Dog Bone Adapter lets you hook up to 15 amp outlets.

Stranger in a Strange Land Need some advice as I made a foolish mistake. I paid a licensed electrician to install a v – 30 amp receptable on it’s own circuit for my RV when parked at the house. The electrician installed late last fall. I made the mistake of not actually having the electricain test the circuit right then and there.
I paid him, he left, winter goes by and now I realize that the electrican wired the wrong plug.
I believe you will find it advantageous to have the control right there at the Jacuzzi.
I have a 50 amp cord that we use at camp grounds but thought I might be able to use reducer during day before at the house to cool fridge down? Can I use 50amp cord with reducer on our house hold plug? If this works will save me a electrician bill installing a 50amp plug at the house , I turn battery switch off when not in use so not worried about that part just wondering if I could save the propane usage during our cool down of fridge day before.. Disconnect the fridge plug and attach it to the extension cord.
This will run the fridge with out the extra phantom loads through the RV. Marv danemayer , In addition to running the refrigerator without using propane , I can check out other AC devices. Both adapters are used to get 50 to 15 amps. I plugged into 15 amps several times during my Alaska trip this year. You will not be able to use the AC, but should work well for the refrig.
